There is more to combing your beard than just styling. Though training your beard to grow in one direction will make it look fuller and cleaner, here are some other benefits to a good comb or brush.

✔ Combing daily will help prevent ingrown hairs. Those red dots or bumps under your beard are ingrown hairs that have not been trained to grow straight and have grown back into your skin.

✔ Combing and brushing daily will keep your beard clean. Small food particles can stay in the beard creating bacteria and eventually making your beard a stinky mess. Combing them out daily will prevent this.

✔ Moisturize the beard. Using beard products should be a part of your daily grooming. Using a wood comb or beard brush will help spread those beard products evenly. It also helps you produce your own natural sebum and spread that out evenly.

✔ Anti-static and snag free. The wide tooth helps get through thick beards while the thinner tooth helps with thinner beards as the brush works well with either. Neither the comb or brush will cause static and will prevent snags that can damage your beard.
